You've booked your exam dates. Here is what we can do with one day of your revision time.

The course is built around one rule: no more than two candidates per bedside, with an instructor on every patient. We hold that ratio because the point of a PACES course is not to file past a long list of patients — it is to examine real cases with real signs and then be examined yourself on each of them: your technique, your presentation, your management, critiqued case after case. Presenting and defending the case is where most candidates fail, so it is where you will spend your day.

If you want the ratio taken to its limit, a SOLO place takes you around every station alone — one patient, one instructor, one of you.

We keep it to one intense day rather than several diluted ones, and we cap every course at 60 places, with dates set to fall usefully before your exam wherever in the diet you sit. We would rather run a few courses per diet and get them right than scale up and water them down. By our own experience and maths, the day delivers something like four days' worth of examined cases — judge that claim by how tired you are on the train home. You will work hard. That is the design.
